I don't think the dwarf foals and many times even the mature dwarf Minis can regulate their body temperature, like a normal horse can, so PLEASE don't let them fall asleep in this HOT sun! Or out to graze without it being in a shaded paddock or yard!
They can get over heated and even get heat stroke and die!
A shaded paddock is a must or a barn with fans or better yet a swamp cooler or port-a-cooler!
The Biscuits are not allowed out in this hot and humid heat of Texas during the heat of the day! They have access to the whole barn with rubber Matt's down in front of their swamp cooler with their tub of grass hay to munch on during the day and fans in their big stall.
They are allowed to go out into the yard most every evening once there is shade, to nibble their favorite grass, and can go out into their paddocks at night, that are close to the barn.
