I wanted to let you all know that Zebrina found a new home. She now lives with many zebras on a large ranch and is very happy. We traded her for several llamas and Bob even got a new toy. No pic of the blue generator.

Meet Bonnie with a bun in the oven.

Oh! My! it looks like you made a GREAT trade, guys!!!

What...NO Alpacas?????

Do you have little Oreo Cookie's Momma, too?

I would love to get one of Mr. & Mrs. Wilson's babies sometime, if it ever settles down around here.

CONGRATULATIONS on your new critters!
And thank you for sharing them with us Cathy. Very Happy

No we did not get Oreo Cookie's mom. No alpacas, yet. I may get one to be with Cookie, as we call our fluff ball. She is adorable, loves the wallabies and is curious about our cat.

Mr. and Mrs. Wilson's babies are ready to go to new homes. We will have more later for you Janell when things calm down. Kathy is getting the darkest baby and Hanna is a girl. We still have another girl and 2 boys. Here they are for you to see.

The coke can pic is a couple of weeks old with Charlotte. She is also the one in the center of the pic above the coke can. They were very tiny, and fit in my hand when born. Momma is about my knee height, but daddy is smaller. Not sure weight. Will try to describe size better later.

Cookie was going to be bottle fed by the former owner to get her used to people. They did raise one male cria last year because the momma died. Frankie met Zebrina in the last pic above. Frankie is adorable and gave me lots of kisses, so I thought I would try to raise Cookie. I did not realize she was so young when I made the deal. Guess I was thinking they would bottle feed her or else I could. We were all loaded and ready to leave when I asked how much to feed, how often and how old was she. That is when I learned she was born the week before. She is doing great and I love her lots.

WOW - the piggys sure have grown!!! I seen them when they were born and we were out there.
The llamas look really neat - is Bonnie & Clyde friendly? I had a friend that had a male llama - he came up on her husband and broke his ribs - needless to say he lost some body parts after this. The vets around here refused to castrate him as they didn't know enough about llamas at the time - so the owners did it themselves. He was a little nicer after this but still not real friendly.
I have been wanting an alpaca forever. Last year when we went on a goat trip to Nebraska - the breeder in Fowler participated in Alpaca Days with an open house. Bill & Rory went and said that they were really neat.
Looks like Zebrina will fit right in with the Zebras and other critters.

Vickie, I think you would REALLY enjoy a couple Alpacas! Very Happy They have to have a companion, perhaps they would bond with your goaties, and you could have just one, but usually you have to have at least two, because they are such herd animals and can just pine away, if alone, unlike the llamas, I guess, because you often times see a lone llama with a herd of Minis, or whatever.

My 3 boys get along very well, because we don't have any female alpacas for them to fight over, Starbuck is gelded, but Mr. Nicholas & Lyndon are not. They still play fight, but nothing serious.

I don't think I would want a llama, as I have heard too many bad stories about them being aggressive...my Alpacas are VERY timid, they would NEVER run at you and hit you with their chest...the boys will do that to each other when they are playing, however.

The boys are VERY protective though, and they have a neat alert call or whistle I guess you would call it. I always feel more comfortable with the boys living in the same pasture as my big Minis, just because they are so protective.
