i know! i dropped them off and they were picked up by a friend while i was at work. i can't believe the difference!

oberon looks more like a very, very huge greyhound or a not-so-good example of a great dane!

They are gorgeous puppies Shel. I had to go back several times to look at the first two pictures. I can't believe that is the same dog. They sure look happy!

Sweet doggies! Wow, I've never seen a Wolfhound clipped before. Do you have to watch for sunburn now? Why did they decide to clip him so short? Thanks for sharing pix of them with us Very Happy

i was the one who decided to clip him so short. the groomer just followed my directions.

as for why.... well, we tend to have long summers and long autums in this part of indiana. even our winters aren't what i knew growing up near the great lakes.

as for sunburn, maybe that would be a factor for outside dogs. our dogs live in the house. they go out to "pee and play" several times a day, but are never left out for more than two hours.

i worried about sunburn until i saw how thick obie's coat is, even shaved. it is much thicker and more velvety than the any great dane's coat i have ever seen. and we will be watching him for any signs of sun burn just in case.

thanks for your concern. it never hurts to be reminded that the sun can be just as hard on our babies as the cold can be.

Your guys sound like ours Very Happy In the house but for pee pee times and a bit of play too. We have two little couch potatoes who love their snooze times! I thought you maybe didn't know the groomer was going to clip him that short so guess I misunderstood Rolling Eyes He sure does look like a whole new doggie! but is just as handsome Very Happy
