We still have our daughter, husband and 5 grandkids living with us. Life is hectic here these days, so not much time to post or even email. We go out in the evenings to socialize our baby mini hinny. At first we had to corner Moca, but now she looks forward to attention. We are waiting for two mini foals. Bill, remember Sunshine that was my first mini mare from you? I thought I would never get a foal out of her, but she is bagging up now. We will see what happens as she is much rounder than usual. LOL I will keep you all posted on my foals. Still working on getting pics to my computer so I can send them to someone to post here. We have the hinny, baby bunnies, 4 wallabies and twin fainting goats so far. We caught a baby wallaby and brought her in the house for a short time. She is our biggest and very sweet. Momma was not sure she wanted to let her back in when we took her back out to the bounce pasture, but she let her back in the pouch. They are fun critters. Please post as we do not want to loose this forum and it is always fun to hear what you are up to.

I did not know this about the forum, Bill.....thank for letting us know....not that it really seems to matter to many people anyway! Sad

I posted yesterday, that it was Little Bit's birthday, and as you can see, absolutely no one replied to that thread! Sad
Is it any wonder why I have given up on te forum?
Perhaps it's jut as well.........

Cathy, it was very good to get caught up a bit with you and your family, I really don't know how you are doing it, to tell you the truth!.... You are a stronger woman than I am!

I would LOVE to see pix of all your baby animals this spring! And you know you are always welcome to email them to me for posting on here Very Happy if you would like.

We had a baby girl! Sunshine finally gave me a beautiful buckskin filly. We named her Cappuccino. She can grow up with the mini hinny, Moca. I will send pics to Janell and Bill so they might be able to post for me. Got some pics into my computer today so I can now share. Still expecting one more foal. I hope more people will post here so we do not loose this special forum.

Oh no we can't loose this forum. This is like my family here Sad

I just wanted to update all if you haven't seen my posts on Face book.

On January 7, 2014 at 4:15pm after dropping off my 16 yr old daughter Michaela back to her fathers my 3 younger children and I were struck by a 16 yr old girl (she wasn't hurt but did total her parents car to and was ticketed for wreckless driving ) and my car was totaled, I had only owned my car for 1 yr and 3 months it was a 2012 sonic. Luckily with 10 air bags my three children and I were not seriously hurt, 2 of all the very nice strangers that stopped to help drove my 3 children and I to the hospital to be checked. My three children were all totally fine, except for a lil mark form the seat belt. By the time I got to the hospital my right hip was very sore and my back and neck. The Dr's there did a CT scan from my neck to hips and x-ray of my right hip and left hand and routine blood work, all were normal! I did have server pain for 2 months after the accident and I had trouble breathing. With my family Doctors help I recovered nicely from that all! I also had a burn mark on my hand that I thought was interesting at the time although it did hurt but was healed with in 2 weeks! Here are some after pic's of my car and my hand.

Now I'm dealing with very low Iron, Dr has me on iron pills and I have to go get blood work done again next month. I also found last week that my nerve in my back has been damaged, the case around the nerve is gone and the nerve itself is damaged. This is causing me to have a hard time keeping my balance, I often trip and I can loose it while just standing still, without knowing where and why it is damaged it will continue to get worst and i'll loose function in my legs and arms. My neurologist is running more tests to find this out. But there is no way to fix the damage that is done Crying or Very sad

Bridget, I am so sorry to hear about the accident. Glad that the kids did not get hurt. I hope you recover soon and do not have more complications. Was the nerve damage caused by the car accident? It sure sounds like it was the cause. I hope they can find a way to help you. Keep us posted on how you are doing.

Thank you Janell and Cathy. No I've not gotten another car, Michigan is a "not fault state" which means it doesn't matter whom is at fault you can't sue or any thing but the $1000 mini tort. So I was able to get that and my car was so totaled the only thing I could do is send her to the junk yard which only paid me $1200 for it :( so now it's a waiting game to see what I can find with that little money. When I purchased this car 1.5 yrs ago I paid it off in full before driving it off the car lot. I used the money for the back payments from Disability as I was just approved in May 2012, which is all gone and now I'm getting is $726 a month :(

The nerve problem has been going on for many years but has been getting worst the last couple months. I believe in my non professional opinion is that what caused my nerve problem was when I was about 27 yr I was riding and showing horses and I had this awesome quarter mare whom was an awesome gymcona (sp?) horse she could cut the barrels like crazy! Well in this one show I was just finished the weaving threw the poles and headed "home" and just 2 strides after the wave my off side billet strap broke and I fell and slide over a yard. The only part that hurt was my butt. The people asked if I needed an ambulance but my pride said no, So I went to the on site tack shop and purchased a new off side strap and finished the show. I never went to the Dr to get checked and I've had back issues since but just thought nothing about it., I did go to a chiropractor which worked for a few years but about a year ago the Chiropractor couldn't relive the pain. I can no longer sleep in a bed only a recliner other wise I can't move in the morning and most of the day I can barely move, I believe from this accident is how the nerve was caused.

Yes Janell I've fully recovered!! So happy it's over!

Now I've got a new problem 😞 I've been not steady on my feet for a long time and just before the accident it got WAY worst. I'm haveing such bad trouble keeping my balance. I can easily fall just standing, if I step on a non flat serface I will fall 95% of the time 😞 I can't hold my children's hands while walking or have anyone walk too close to me plus I'm having trouble lifting my legs to get into vehacles, esspecially my right leg.

I've had a CT scan to check my part of the brain that controls your balance and that came back normal. Then I had an EMG that shows I have nerve damage causing my brain to tell my leg muscles to help keep my balance. They also did a pressure test on my legs to see if any of this is caused my blocked blood vessels which showed all was good. I had a MRI to see if they could find where the nerve could be damaged and all that shows is the arthritis in my mid and lower back. They have also done several blood tests looking for diabetics, my thiroid and all have been normal.

So I'm now living with back pain which also causes me to not sleep in a bed as I will wake up unable to move of extreme pain. The only releaf is when I sit reclined with footstool up in a recliner. I also have numbness in both hands and feet all day every day. Then the balance thing which I'm using a cane prescribed by my dr. Though that only helps part of the time. 😞 I have another appointment with the nuro dr the beginning of August. Hoping for more answers then.
