Several years ago, Wes worked at a sod farm, and in the garbage dump for the sod farm, we're two kittens, probably about 8 months old.....a coal black one, and an orange and white one, both males.

The pit bulls that was at the farm tried to kill them every chance they got, because the owners encouraged it, no fault of the dogs. The owners said they were going to shoot the cats, so Wes told them he would try to catch them and bring them home. We were able to leur them into carriers with canned cat food.

Got them home to find out that they were quite tame! We named the black one Licorice, and the other one Popeye, as his left eye had been injured to the point of the eyeball couldn't be seen. We took them to the vet to be checked out, vaccinations given and neutered and Popeye's bad eye taken care of.
Soc cleaned out the eye socket good and stitched the eye lid closed, it healed up nicely.

Licorice decided he would stay at the barn, but Popeye followed us to the house and made his home on the back patio and back yard. Hie soon became one of the pack with out 3 porch puppies, Buster Brown, Taco, and Susie Darling. He would sit at the door and cry for them to come back outside when they were in the house.....such a sweet kitty cat!

We think the coyotes must have gotten him one night, if he had wondered out into the front pasture. Crying or Very sad as he never got very far from the back yard.

We miss you little fella, you were a GOOD kitty.
