I called Bill tonight and left a message that everyone here at Little Bits had them in their thoughts and prayers. And I just wanted them to know that we all cared about them and were glad to hear they are safe but sorry to hear about their losses. I told him he could call me back if he wanted but if he didn't get me called back that was fine too and I completely understood. Well he called me back and told me to tell all of you that he really appreciated the prayers. And that they had lost the farm. He said he couldn't talk long as his phone was about dead and that he had no way of charging it yet.
Then I got on FB and had a message from Penni - it is as follows:

Penni Wolfe Blevins

vickie...please post on little bits I can not get signed on there...spent the day at Bill and Wanalynns house...took some food water...they are both in shock...they lost all their dwarfs they drowned...water was 2ft over the fences...surprised there were so many that survived....4 horses are missing...one is a donkey..also lost her oldest stallion Quick silver, his son Heza..Willie the blind horse made it although he was buddies with heza so he is just going in circles...the other surviving horses are at another farm down the road...someone up the road with backhoe came and buried the ones that passed very sad day...can not understand insurance company .....A friend of mine from west tennessee is coming with a 31 ft trailer for them to stay in so they can stay on the farm....dont know what else to say total loss...trucks trailers all his tools garage gone out buildings gone...house 2 ft or more of water...now mud

..

Penni Wolfe Blevins

she also lost most of her goats 4 were saved and are at her friends goat farm...

I just feel awful for them. Bill did say that the horse that were saved by the help of people from a church near them that they brought in their trailers and they were rescuing the horses out of waist high water by then.

Please continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you for telling this to Bill and Wanalynn from all of us Vickie! and so very grateful that people stepped forward to help. I added some information from you and Janell on the Lil Beginnings thread that Mary Lou had started there, including a plea for donations. Mary Lou had already posted their mailing address. There may be an account set up soon, not sure, Janell said that Penni had some ideas about that. In the mean time, we can send things directly to them. God bless Penni for being there and diligently helping them through this horror. I also pray for strength and fortitude for her as well.

I apologize for not posting here today, before now but I just have not been able to.......I have just been too upset. Sad

Vickie, Penni & Jeanie, THANK YOU for allowing us to share in your conversations with Bill and for sharing pictures.

Dear Bill and Wanalynn, please KNOW that you are in our thoughts and prayers, as always, and I hope you also know that if there is ANYTHING we can do to help, all ya have to do is tell us what it is...... Wesley said to be sure and tell you that if there is ANYTHING he can do to help, to PLEASE let him know!

David and I, Wesley and Molly and the Biscuits send our condolences on the loss of your precious little treasures, "The Brat Pack" and all of the other beloved animals, as well. I know you have to be just devastated and in shock from this horrible tragedy, but you are strong folks and you have LOTS of friends, family, loved ones and neighbors who will help you through this, PLEASE let us! :-)

You guys are such WONDERFUL people, and I have to just keep telling myself, that the dwarf babies were SO very lucky to be in you care and to be loved by you two, they had such a wonderful life, that they surely would not have had, if you had not rescued them......GOD love them, Little Bit is watching over them now, they have LOTS of special babies to play with now, and are nibbling' the lush, green grass in Heaven....and enjoying their new Angel wings.....they were our little Earth Angels, just not everyone could see their wings, but we could....rest in peace sweet babies....Auntie Nell and the Biscuits LOVE YOU and miss you already. Crying or Very sad Bless your little hearts

Bill and Wanalynn, we LOVE YOU, too!

Penni posted this one on FB, so will share it here, too.

The editor of the paper got back with me. Here's her email:

Stacy,

I am so sorry for your friends. The area has seen quite a bit of damage.
It is heartbreaking.

I wanted to send you a link to the story our sister paper did on your
friends:

And here is a news report for a local TV station about the flash floods.
Bill is interviewed in the piece:

Our paper ran a broader story on the flooding. It includes a photo of
the Chapman farm. I have attached it for you to see.

Not sure if any of this helps or not, but thought I'd pass it along so
you can feel a little more connected.

Sincerely,
Kristen Swing
