I'm glad I found this board.
My name is Stephanie and I have a 7 week old dwarf miniature.
Cleo was born at our farm. We don't own her sire and as far as we know her dam has never had a dwarf prior to this.
Cleo was born with an underbite, and down on her pasterns. She has improved a fair bit from the time she was born, but still rocks and rolls on them.
She has a round little belly and stands like a bulldog.
To us however she is the cutest little thing.
We were suppose to have her feet trimmed today with the method shown on the Magic shoes page, however due to the rain the farrier cancelled and we are hoping to have it done tomorrow.
We have our fingers crossed that it helps her, if not we will try some Little Magic Shoes for her.
This was our first miniature foal and we have only been owners of mniniatures for about a year seriously, although we have had one or two in the past.
I hope to be able to learn more about Cleo's condition on this board. From photographs's Janell thinks she is a Type 3 ??
Cleo runs around, eats well and appears healthy other than her appearance. At this point we have not come across any other health issues besides her feet.
