I still call Sealtainn, "Little Momma" even though we lost her lil' Puddin' a year ago May 18th. She still expects and gets an extra treat for Puddin', we'll never forget him.

Anyway, with all the extra weight she had while carrying Puddin' it started putting a real strain on her "good" front leg and gradually that shoulder has started to sublux a bit, the inside of that hoof grows much faster than the outside, which wants to push her hoof over to the outside a bit, she still walks flat on that hoof, but it was wanting to roll with her, so I decided to make her a *Magic Shoe* and see if perhaps that won't help that leg and shoulder. I finally was able to get that hoof "almost" balanced this morning, but had to stop as I could see 2 tiny pin points of blood on that inside hoof wall.

With my Merlin hoof grinder I have really been able to do a good job with her left fron hoof, that she was walking completely on the inside of, when I first rescued her....do you remember how bad her hooves were, and how much that hoof turned up?
I took some pix of that little hoof, too.

As of tonight, she still had her shoe on! Bravo...haven't applied a shoe for a long time! Laughing She doesn't seem to be uncomfortable with it on, but I cave her a dose of Equioxx anyway.
Here's a couple pictures. Will try to find a pic of her hooves when I first got her home. Below these 2 pix are what Sealtainn's hooves looked like when I first got her Crying or Very sad ....BIG difference, huh? Very Happy

For the newer members, here's the link to Sealtainn's story, you will find others in the dwarf section of the forum, as well.
